Functions

• To perform all functions related to the Promotion of Industries Act No. 46 of 1990.

• Preparation of standards related to engineering works in the field of industry

• Supervise and make recommendations on all maintenance duties related to buildings and machinery of the Ministry of Industry.

• Providing technical recommendations for all infrastructure facilities in the industrial zones under the Ministry and monitoring and making recommendations for maintenance of government buildings and machinery related to the industrial zones.

• To carry out repair and maintenance work related to maintaining the fleet of vehicles belonging to the Ministry in proper running condition, to supervise the work related to carrying out work related to the misuse of vehicles that have reached a condemned state and to give advice for the same.

• Analyzing and supervising the engineering works of the development projects related to the public sector institutions operating under the Ministry.

• Providing necessary guidance for technical and engineering work.

• Providing technical guidance and support to the Ministry and institutions under the Ministry.

• Assist organizations in identifying and assessing engineering risks and developing strategies to mitigate those risks.
